Butler County Engineer
Greg Wilkens announces the release of the new 2004 Official Butler
County Transportation Map. The map is updated with new annexations,
incorporations, and road additions, including private streets.
The trademark user-friendly booklet format continues, with each
Township and its major cities represented on individual pages
for greater detail. Major enhancements that were implemented
last year -- full color, more parks and landmarks, larger text
for easier readability -- continue with this new edition.
A winter theme portraying
the BCEO's exceptional snow and ice control program highlights
the map. One-page county and township contact information is
also provided for quick and easy reference as are overviews of
Butler County's 22 MetroParks.
This is the second
annual publishing of the official transportation map. Prior to
last year, the map was published on a bi-annual basis. Wilkens
noted with the release of last year's map that "due to Butler
County's rapid growth and the addition of so many new roads,
Butler County citizens would be better served by printing a map
every year instead of every other year."
The new 2004 Official
Butler County Transportation Maps are available to the general
public at no charge and can be obtained at the Butler County
Engineer's Office, the Butler County Government Services Center,
and various other locations throughout Butler County. To obtain
