Butler County Engineer
Greg Wilkens reports that the Reily Millville Road bridge over
Indian Creek will be replaced beginning August 9. Located just
outside the small community of Reily in Reily Township, the current
bridge is a three-span rolled steel beam structure built in 1969.
The Engineer's Office plans to replace the old bridge with a
new, safer pre-stressed concrete box beam bridge.
A construction contract
for the project was awarded to DDK Construction of Cincinnati
which submitted a low bid of $693,070. Funding will consist of
Federal LPA money and local Butler County funds.
All work is scheduled
for completion by early December 2010, weather permitting.
