Butler County Engineer Dean
C. Foster reports that Princeton Road will be closed 1/10 mile
west of Cincinnati Dayton Road and 1/10 mile east of Gemstone
Drive for a culvert replacement and roadway improvements. The
project is in conjunction with improvements to the Princeton
/ Cincinnati Dayton Road intersection, which are expected to
be completed by mid-October.
Sight distance and turning
radii will be improved, turn lanes will be added on all four
approaches and signals installed in an effort to make the intersection
safer. A center turn lane will also be added on Princeton Road
just west of the intersection for easier, safer access into the
elementary school.
The contract was awarded
to Don S. Cisle Contractor, which submitted a low bid of $572,286.
Funding for the project consists of 100 percent County money.
Princeton Road is tentatively
scheduled to reopen the week of September 1, 1997. Once the Princeton
Road portion is complete, no further closings are expected ---
the remainder of the intersection work will be constructed while
traffic is maintained.
