BUTLER WARREN ROAD

West Chester & Liberty Townships / Warren County line

Will close between Tylersville Road and Liberty Way / Mason Road beginning in late February 2012 for the first phase of a major road widening and improvement project. Full details to be posted soon.

 

 

BYPASS 4

Fairfield Township / City of Fairfield

General Traffic Advisory: Work to construct superstreet intersections and widen Bypass 4 is now complete from Symmes Road north to Hamilton Mason Road. The portion south of Symmes Road is slated for completion in 2012. Work will also continue into 2012 on the section between Hamilton Mason Road and Princeton Road, including widening of the bridge over Ohio 129 and modifications to the entrance and exit ramps (see below).

 

 

BYPASS 4 OVERPASS at OHIO 129

Fairfield Township

Traffic Advisory: Work to widen the Bypass 4 bridge over Ohio 129 is under way effective September 2011. The bridge will be widened from two to five lanes. Thru traffic will be maintained during construction; however, motorists may experience occasional temporary delays and should therefore consider alternate routes. All work is expected to be completed by September 2012.

 

 

BYPASS 4 OVERPASS at OHIO 129

City of Fairfield

Traffic Advisory 1/3/12 from the City of Fairfield: Motorists are advised that the intersection of Route 4 and Bypass 4 will be reconfigured as part of the Bypass 4 Improvement Project (between Port Union and Route 4). Traffic will be switched from the existing pavement to the new pavement. The new diversion road between Bypass 4 and Route 4 will be opened to traffic at this time. Please note that left turns will not be permitted at the Route 4 and Bypass 4 intersection from this point forward. The new traffic patterns will be delineated with pavement markings and signage both overhead and ground mounted. Message boards will be placed on southbound and northbound Route 4 to further advise motorists of the change. More information on the project and revised traffic patterns are available on the City’s website www.fairfield-city.org. The switching of traffic has been rescheduled for January 10, 2012 beginning at 8:00 p. m.; weather permitting. The work will include placing the new signals at either end of the new diversion road into stop and go operation. Work will also include removing existing pavement markings, placing new temporary pavement markings, moving the portable concrete barrier, covering and uncovering signs and signals.
Signage will be posted and flaggers will maintain two-way traffic while traffic is being switched to the new pavement.

 

 

GARNER ROAD

Reily Township

Will close 1.1 miles north of Dunwoody Road and 0.1 mile south of Reily Millville Road (ten feet south of Huffman Road) for a bridge replacement over Indian Creek beginning Monday, February 13, 2012. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of August 6, 2012.

Detour: Northbound Garner Road traffic will detour west on Ohio 129, north on Ohio 732, and southeast on Reily Millville Road. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

SOUTH WEAVER ROAD

Morgan Township

Will close five feet north of Layhigh Road and 1.3 miles south of Ohio 129 for a bridge rehabilitation beginning in late February. Exact date will be posted here when determined. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of May 7, 2012.

Detour: Northbound South Weaver Road traffic will detour northwest on Ohio 126, north on California Road, and east on Ohio 129. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

U.S. 42

West Chester Township

ODOT Road Closing: Culvert replacement will require closing U.S. 42 between Cox Road and Tylersville Road, approximately 475 feet north of Manors Drive, from Saturday, February 18, 2012 to Friday, March 2, 2012.

Detour: The posted detour for northbound U.S. 42 traffic will be north (left) on Cox Road to east (right) on Tylersville Road, back to U.S. 42. The detour for southbound U.S. 42 traffic will be the same in reverse. The detour is an additional 1.29 miles.

General Traffic Advisory: ODOT road widening project under way from Fields Ertel Road to Butler Warren Road effective April 2011. Completion scheduled for 2013. Motorists should expect congestion and delays, particularly during rush hours. The use of alternate routes is encouraged.
