A major roadway improvement
along Yankee Road is under way effective July 5, 2017. This involves
closure of Yankee to thru traffic from Dutchland Parkway to Princeton
Road. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses
along Yankee Road and to adjoining subdivisions; however, construction
will be phased so staging of traffic flow will vary. Project
phasing is as follows:
Phase 1: Complete. Yankee Road / Princeton
Road intersection open. Roundabout construction is complete.
Phase 2: Complete. Yankee Road open
to local traffic between Wyandot Lane and Princeton Road. Bridge
replacement is complete.
Phase 3: Complete. Bridge widening on
Yankee Road just south of Wyandot Lane is complete.
Phase 4: Complete. Wyandot Lane / Yankee
Road intersection reconstruction is complete.
Construction suspended for the winter effective December 15,
2017. Will resume March 12, 2018. Yankee Road and all connecting
streets will be open to thru traffic during this period. When
construction resumes, Yankee Road will be re-closed to thru and
commuter traffic but will remain open to local residents and
businesses. Completion tentatively scheduled for late May 2018. (Full
Phase 5: Widening of Yankee Road from
Princeton Road to Dutchland Parkway with the majority of construction
from Maple Creek Drive south to Dutchland. All roads will be
open to local traffic only. Thru traffic will be rerouted.
Phase 5 detour: Northbound Yankee Road traffic will detour
north on Cincinnati Dayton Road and west on Princeton Road to
Yankee. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
All work is tentatively
scheduled for completion by mid-June 2018, weather permitting.
