BECKETT ROAD

West Chester Township

Closed in various stages between Union Centre Boulevard and Smith Road effective June 15, 2009 for construction associated with a roadway improvement. While the Beckett Road construction is in effect from May through October, motorists will only encounter road closures between June 15 and August 15. The closures will occur in three different phases and will shift as work progresses. Throughout the course of this project, local access will be maintained to residents and businesses, although access will be limited to one side of the main closure area depending upon one's location relative to the phasing and work being performed. Detours will be posted for all thru traffic. The phasing will be as follows:

 

PHASE 1 -- Effective June 15, 2009, Beckett Road is closed between Prairie Lake Boulevard and Beckett Ridge Boulevard. Access to Prairie Lake Boulevard will be from the south side only (Union Centre Boulevard). Access to Beckett Ridge Boulevard will be from the Smith Road side only.

PHASE 2 -- Beckett Road will be closed between Beckett Ridge Boulevard and Smith Road. Access to Beckett Ridge Boulevard and points south will be from Union Centre Boulevard only.

PHASE 3 -- Beckett Road will be closed between Prairie Lake Boulevard and Union Centre Boulevard. Access to Prairie Lake Boulevard and points north will be from the Smith Road side only. Road to reopen by August 15, 2009.

 

Detour for all phases: Northbound Beckett Road traffic will detour west on Union Centre Boulevard, north on Ohio 747, and east on Smith Road. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

BUTLER WARREN ROAD

Liberty Township / Warren County line

Will close between Millikin Road (Brewer Road, Warren County side) and Kyles Station Road (Hamilton Road, Warren County side) for drainage construction by the Warren County Engineer's Office. The closures will be daily for one week during working hours, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. starting on Monday, July 6, 2009.

 

 

HAMILTON MASON ROAD

Liberty / West Chester Townships

Traffic Advisory: Speed limit temporarily lowered to 45 MPH in construction zone between Cincinnati Dayton Road and I-75 overpass through October 31, 2009.

 

 

HOWARD ROAD

Morgan Township / Hamilton County line

Will close ten feet east of Howards Creek Road (Edgewood Road, Hamilton County side) and 0.6 mile west of Race Lane Road (Oxford Road, Hamilton County side) for a bridge replacement beginning Wednesday, July 8, 2009. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of September 7, 2009.

Detour: Eastbound Howard Road traffic will detour north on Howards Creek Road, east on Alert New London Road, and south on Race Lane Road. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.

INTERSTATE 75

Liberty / West Chester Townships

Traffic Advisory: Motorists can expect periodic lane closures through 2009 in conjunction with the I-75 widening project and associated bridge work by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). Many lane closures will occur during the overnight hours; however, daytime lane closures are also possible. Four overpasses in Butler County have been rebuilt as part of the project and are now complete. All overpass closures were in 2008. There are no overpass closures anticipated for 2009. Update June 16, 2009 -- From 11 p.m. Wednesday, June 17 until 5 a.m. Thursday, June 18, the eastbound State Route 129 ramp to southbound Interstate 75 will be closed.

Southbound I-75 traffic will be detoured to northbound I-75, returning to southbound I-75 at the Monroe/SR 63 exit.

LANES MILL ROAD

Hanover and Milford Townships

Will close between Nichols Road and Shollenbarger Road for a series of three culvert replacements beginning Monday, July 6, 2009. The first culvert to be replaced is located 0.2 mile north of Nichols Road and 0.5 mile south of Wallace Road. Work will take approximately three weeks after which crews will move to the second culvert, located 0.5 mile north of Nichols Road and 0.2 mile south of Wallace Road. This culvert job will also involve extensive berm repairs and will take approximately ten days to complete. Crews will then move to the third culvert which is 0.2 mile south of Shollenbarger Road and 0.3 mile north of Wallace Road. All work is tentatively scheduled for completion the week of August 17, 2009 at which time the road will reopen.

Detour: Northbound Lanes Mill Road traffic will detour east on Nichols Road, northwest on Ohio 177, and west on Shollenbarger Road. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

MORRIS ROAD

Fairfield Township

RIVER ROAD

Fairfield Township / City of Fairfield

Closed on the east side of Burns Road, or 1,000 feet northeast of Georgetown Road and 1.0 mile southwest of Lake Circle Drive, for a bridge replacement effective June 1, 2009. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of September 28, 2009.

Detour: Northeastbound River Road traffic will detour south on U.S 27 into Hamilton County, east on Kemper Road, north on U.S. 127 back into Butler County and the City of Fairfield, and west on Nilles Road to River Road. Southwestbound River Road traffic will reverse this route.

SOUTH DWYER ROAD

Morgan Township

Closed 0.4 mile southeast of California Road and 50 feet northwest of Chelsea Ridge Court (or 1.0 mile northwest of Okeana Drewersburg Road) effective June 29, 2009 for work associated with the natural gas pipeline installation by Rockies Express Pipeline. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen by July 3, 2009.

Detour: Southeastbound South Dwyer Road traffic will detour south on California Road and east on Okeana Drewersburg Road. Northwestbound traffic will reverse this route.

U.S. 27 (PATTERSON AVENUE)

City of Oxford

Traffic Advisory: Two-lane resurfacing of U.S. 27 (Patterson Avenue) in the City of Oxford is scheduled to begin Monday, July 6, 2009. Work, which will be performed from Chestnut Street to High Street, will consist of milling existing asphalt and repaving. Traffic will be maintained with a flagging operation. Work will take approximately two weeks to complete.

WOODSDALE ROAD

Madison Township

Closed at Wayne Madison Road effective October 6, 2008. This closure is in conjunction with the Liberty Fairfield Road / Wayne Madison Road bridge project over the Great Miami River.

Detour: Motorists will utilize nearby Augspurger Road east to access Woodsdale Road. Woodsdale Road traffic will access Wayne Madison Road via Augspurger Road.
