The Butler County Engineer Greg Wilkens reports that Phase 2 of the Tylersville Road Improvement project in West Chester Township will be delayed due to higher than expected project bids. To save the taxpayers’ money, Wilkens will advertise again for bids in the fall of 2019, and construction will begin spring of 2020.

Phase 2 will involve the construction of an additional westbound lane on Tylersville Road from Cox Road to the northbound I-75 entrance ramp as well as further modifications to Dudley Drive and Doc Drive. Additional signal modifications will be made at the intersection of Tylersville Road and Dudley Drive / Kingsgate Way. The project will also include sidewalk, storm sewer improvements, and new signage and striping.
