Grand Boulevard, Hancock Avenue, Hamilton Mason Road, Tylersville Road, and Tuley Road – Fairfield Township/City of Hamilton
The Butler County Engineer’s Office is pleased to report the recent honor of receiving the 2022 Donald C. Schramm Transportation Improvement Award for projects under $5 million. Recognizing efficiency, safety, and quality of life, the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Triko Valley Section presented the award to the BCEO as owners, design firm Strand Associates, Inc., and general contractor Rack and Ballauer Excavating Company Inc. The $2.3 million improvement to Butler County infrastructure was built in cooperation with the City of Hamilton and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).
County Engineer Greg Wilkens notes, “The 69 percent reduction in crashes and 86 percent reduction in injuries each year overall speaks volumes for the value of our Butler County roundabouts. This roundabout will serve the citizens of Fairfield Township and the City of Hamilton well now and in the future.”
