News Releases

June 25, 2026

The Butler County Engineer’s Office (BCEO) congratulates Construction Deputy David Quimby, P.E., P.S., on receiving his Professional Surveyor (P.S.) license in the State of Ohio. His dual registration signifies that he has met rigorous education, practical experience, and examination requirements, which are invaluable in public infrastructure.

“It has been rewarding to see Dave’s success since joining the BCEO as the first co-op student hired under my administration,” said Greg Wilkens, P.E., P.S., Butler County Engineer. “Earning both his Professional Engineer and Professional Surveyor licenses is a tremendous accomplishment. With Dave joining three engineers who hold dual registration, the Butler County Engineer’s Office is uniquely positioned to develop and maintain the professional expertise needed to serve Butler County for generations to come.”

Quimby began working at the Butler County Engineer’s Office as a co-op student in 2001 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 2005. He received his registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in 2008, was promoted to Construction Deputy in 2021, and has primarily overseen day-to-day activities relating to bridge and roadway construction while at the BCEO.

Mr. Quimby resides with his wife and two daughters in West Chester Township.
