UPDATE SEPTEMBER 16, 2022: THE PROJECT IS COMPLETE, AND THE ROAD IS OPEN.

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Butler Warren Road will close from Bethany Road to The Trails Boulevard for a three-month widening project beginning Monday, June 13, 2022. For nearly $2.1 million, the project entails widening the approximately three-quarter mile section of Butler Warren Road to three lanes to accommodate a center turn lane with sight distance adjustments and drainage improvements. The project is in cooperation with the Warren County Engineer’s Office, with additional funding from the State, Butler County Water & Sewer, and Liberty Township.

The road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen on September 16, 2022. Local traffic will be maintained from Bethany Road to Poppy Lane/Lucena Way. Locations further north may be accessed from Princeton Road and Millikin Road.

Detour: Northbound Butler Warren Road traffic will detour west on Bethany Road, north on Cincinnati Dayton Road, and east on Millikin Road. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
