Greenlawn Road to close for two months

Road Closures

September 16, 2022

Fairfield Township

UPDATE NOVEMBER 10, 2022: THE PROJECT IS COMPLETE, AND THE ROAD IS OPEN.

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Greenlawn Road will close approximately 0.4 miles north of Millikin Road and 150 feet south of S.R. 4 for a drainage improvement project beginning Monday, September 26, 2022. Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. was awarded the contract with a low bid of $493,690 and will be installing a new storm sewer system and channelizing waterflow along Greenlawn Road. Funded by the Butler County Storm Water District and Fairfield Township, this is the first of two construction phases for the drainage improvement. The second phase will be scheduled and funded at a later date.

Greenlawn Road will be closed to all through traffic; however, the contractor will maintain access for residents and emergency vehicles up to the project limits. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen by the end of November 2022.

Detour: Northbound Greenlawn Road traffic will detour east on Millikin Road, north on Liberty Fairfield Road, and southwest on S.R. 4. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

Motorists are encouraged to check here, as well as Facebook and Twitter @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
