Butler County Engineer Greg Wilkens is pleased to announce the promotion of Dale Schwieterman, P.E., P.S., to Chief Deputy Engineer. Mr. Schwieterman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1994. He has been employed at the BCEO since 1996 as Bridge Engineer, Lead Design Engineer, Engineering Manager, and in 2005 Engineering Deputy. During that time, he received his Professional Engineer and Professional Surveyor licensure and is one of three on staff with dual registration.

The first appointed BCEO Chief Deputy Engineer in 23 years, Schwieterman’s responsibilities remain the oversight of the Engineering, Development Services, Tax Map, and Administration departments, as well as the coordination of project planning and funding. “Dale’s strong leadership qualities and achievements have earned him the utmost respect, and I am confident that his experience will continue to benefit the future of our office and Butler County,” said Wilkens.

Mr. Schwieterman lives in Liberty Township with his wife and has two grown children attending The Ohio State University.
