UPDATE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2023: THE PROJECT IS COMPLETE, AND THE ROAD IS OPEN.
City of Fairfield’s Press Release:
Motorists are advised that beginning Wednesday, July 26, road
improvements on Seward Road south of Tylersville Road will require the road to be
closed to through traffic. The closure is located between Union Centre
Boulevard/Symmes Road and Tylersville Road. The closure will be north of the Mill
Creek (about 1000 feet south of Tylerville Road) and will last for approximately 30 days.
This closure is needed to widen this section of roadway to three lanes including a two
way center left turn lane. Work will be performed by the John R. Jurgensen Company.
Prior to the closure, portable electronic message boards will be posted notifying the public
of the upcoming changes to traffic patterns.
During the closure a detour will be posted directing traffic around the construction site via Symmes Road to Bypass 4 to Tylersville Road.
