Road Closures

October 13, 2023

Liberty Township / West Chester Township

UPDATE MONDAY, OCTOBER 16TH: DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE RAMP CLOSURE DID NOT OCCUR SUNDAY NIGHT. THE WORK WILL BE EXTENDED THROUGH THE ENTIRE WEEK, AND THE RAMP WILL CLOSE TONIGHT AT 7 PM.

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports nightly lane and ramp closures this Sunday, October 15, through Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. as part of the S.R. 129/Liberty Interchange Modification project and the complementary Liberty Way Improvement project.

The ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound S.R. 129 will be closed on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. to repair damaged asphalt caused by an overturned semi. In addition, crews will complete any unfinished milling on Liberty Way and Cox Road on Sunday, with lane closures starting at 7:00 p.m. This work is in preparation for paving eastbound and westbound Liberty Way and a portion of Cox Road beginning on Monday, October 16, at 7:00 p.m. for three consecutive nights. All restrictions will be lifted by 6:00 each morning.

Also, on Monday, October 16, S.R. 129 will have single-lane closures at various locations in the project area as the contractor performs surface smoothness corrections beginning at 8:00 p.m. for up to three consecutive nights, and all restrictions will be lifted by 6:00 a.m.

Motorists could experience delays and are encouraged to check here and the PROJECTS MAP, as well as Facebook and Twitter @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
