MAUDS HUGHES REMAINS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Road Closures

April 08, 2024

Liberty Township

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Mauds Hughes Road closed this morning for soil test borings and will remain closed one-quarter of a mile north of Princeton Road and 0.7 miles south of Millikin Road until further notice to keep motorists safe from a potentially dangerous area of roadway that is slipping and deteriorating. The BCEO is working to obtain a full analysis of the slip and is hopeful that repairs will be made later this year.

Detour: Northbound Mauds Hughes traffic will detour east on Princeton Road, north on Yankee Road, and west on Millikin Road. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

Motorists are encouraged to check here, as well as Facebook and X @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
