UPDATE JULY 11, 2024: THE DRAINAGE PROJECT CONTINUES; HOWEVER, BUSENBARK ROAD HAS BEEN REOPENED.
The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Busenbark Road will close for 30 days, approximately 500 feet north of the roundabout at Busenbark Road and Trenton Road, starting Monday, June 10, 2024, for a drainage improvement project. Construction began today on this 10-week project to improve overall safety by reducing roadway flooding and enhancing existing drainage conditions.
Busenbark Road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen on July 9, 2024.
Detour: Northbound Busenbark Road traffic will detour northeast on Trenton Road, north on Wayne Madison Road, and west on S.R. 73. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
