Millikin Road @ Morris Road Roundabout Construction Begins May 28th

Road Closures

May 15, 2024

Fairfield Township

UPDATE SATURDAY, 8/3/24: THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED, AND THE ROADS ARE OPEN.

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Millikin Road will close at Morris Road for a single-lane roundabout installation beginning Tuesday, May 28, 2024. The roads will be closed to all through traffic; however, local traffic will still have access up to the construction zone. The new roundabout is expected to be open by August 2, 2024, before students return to school.

Funded by the County Engineers Association of Ohio (CEAO), the BCEO, and Butler County Water & Sewer, this $1.47 million project was awarded to Rack and Ballauer Excavating Co., Inc.

Detour: Eastbound Millikin Road traffic will detour south on the S.R. 4 Bypass, east on Princeton Road, and north on Liberty Fairfield Road. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.

Southbound Morris Road traffic will detour using the S.R. 4 Bypass or Liberty Fairfield Road and Princeton Road.

Motorists are encouraged to check here or the PROJECTS MAP, as well as Facebook and Twitter @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
