UPDATE JULY 1: TRENTON RD AND SOUTH ST WILL REMAIN CLOSED THROUGH THE END OF THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY PER THE RAILMASTER.
The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Norfolk Southern Railroad will close Trenton Road and South Street at the tracks east of U.S. 127 to tamp through the crossings and repave the approaches beginning Monday, June 24, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. The road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen at 5:00 p.m. on June 27, 2024.
Detour: Eastbound Trenton Road traffic will detour south on U.S. 127, northeast on Augspurger Road, and north on Jackson Road. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
Eastbound South Street traffic will detour south on U.S. 127, northeast on Augspurger Road, north on Jackson Road, west on Trenton Road, and southwest on North Riverside Drive. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
