UPDATE AUGUST 19, 2024: THE CONTRACTOR HAS POSTPONED THE START OF CONSTRUCTION TO TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD.

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Elk Creek Road will close approximately 1.6 miles north of Howe Road and one mile south of S.R. 122 for the second of four road slip repairs beginning Monday, August 26, 2024. Utilizing drilled shafts, the contractor will stabilize the existing pavement and embankment of the road, requiring a full road closure to all through traffic. Local traffic will be maintained for residents in the project area. Elk Creek Road is scheduled to reopen by September 27, 2024.

Detour: Northbound Elk Creek Road traffic will detour east on Howe Road, northeast on Trenton Franklin Road, and northwest on S.R. 122. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
