CSX Crossing Closures Begin September 15

UPDATE October 3, 2025: CSX will close the Jackson Road crossing from Wednesday, October 8th, to Thursday, October 16th.

UPDATE September 29th: CSX RR CROSSING CLOSURES TONIGHT AROUND 11 PM: Trenton Road near Jackson Road AND Trenton Road near the Busenbark Road roundabout. Morganthaler Rd and Wehr Rd are supposed to be open.

UPDATE September 22nd: Wayne Madison will be closed tonight for 3 to 5 days.

UPDATE September 21st: Augspurger and Wehr Roads are closed. Wayne Madison Rd will be next.

UPDATE September 17th: Contrary to the information CSX provided, Trenton Franklin Road construction started first, and we were told they may reopen the road on Friday morning, 9/19. (Detour map below.) They may be working the schedule backwards. We will remain diligent in finding the correct information for you. Thank you for your patience!

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that CSX Transportation will close several railroad crossings alongside North Riverside Drive beginning Monday, September 15, 2025, to replace ties and resurface the crossings. Each crossing could be closed for two to three days. The affected crossings and their closing dates are as follows:

  • Augspurger Avenue, September 15th
  • Jackson Road, September 16th
  • Trenton Road (near Jackson Road and North Riverside Drive), September 16th
  • Wehr Road, September 16th
  • Morganthaler Road, September 17th
  • Trenton Road (just southwest of the Busenbark roundabout ), September 17th
  • Wayne Madison Road (south of the roundabout), September 17th
  • Trenton Franklin Road, September 22nd

Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route; however, CSX crews will post a detour. Please view the crossing closure map below, and check back here, as well as Facebook and X @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
