State Line Center Road Closing, 10/20

Road Closures

October 03, 2025

Reily Township/Town of Brookville, IN

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that State Line Center Road will be closed to through traffic from approximately 0.9 miles north of Dunwoody Road to just north of the Merrell Road intersection for two replacement projects beginning Monday, October 20, 2025. Local traffic will have access up to the construction zone. Merrell Road will be closed at the intersection with residential access only from Raymond Road.

This multi-bridge project, awarded to Rack and Ballauer Excavating Company, Inc., with a bid of $858,481, was funded locally by the BCEO. The project involves replacing the two concrete box culverts, roadway approach work, replacing a drainage structure, and improving the intersection of State Line Road and Merrell Road, thereby providing a safer passage over Phillips Creek. The road closure and construction are expected to last until the end of the year.

Detour: Northbound State Line Center Road traffic will detour east on Dunwoody Road, north on Hart Road, and west on Peoria Reily Road. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

Eastbound Merrell Road will detour north on Raymond Road and east on Riley Pike. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.

Motorists are encouraged to check here and the PROJECTS MAP, as well as Facebook and X @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
