The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Oxford State Road will close at the westbound bridge just west of South Breiel Boulevard for a bridge deck rigid overlay project beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Improvements to the bridge over the North Branch of Dicks Creek will be performed by Complete General Construction Company of Columbus, Ohio. This $1.1 million bridge project, funded by the BCEO, is the second of three rigid overlays scheduled for 2026 under a $2.2 million contract.

Oxford State Road will be closed to all through westbound traffic and is expected to reopen by mid-August, weather permitting.

Detour: Westbound Oxford State Road traffic will detour north on South Breiel Boulevard, west on S.R. 122, and south on South University Boulevard to Yankee Road.
