Pursuant to Section 319.203 of the Ohio Revised Code, notice is hereby given that the Butler County Auditor and Butler County Engineer are proposing modifications to the Butler County Standards of Conveyance.
The proposed modification concerns the Plats and Legal Descriptions – Section II, Requirements for Existing Metes and Bounds Descriptions of Record, and would establish a procedure allowing certain conveyances subject to a “Survey Required Next Transfer” requirement to be processed upon submission of specified written commitments from a Professional Surveyor and a title company, attorney, or seller regarding completion and subsequent recording of a new legal description.
The proposed revised Standards of Conveyance are available for public inspection during normal business hours at the office of the Butler County Auditor and Butler County Engineer.

The second public hearing will be held not less than ten days after the first public hearing, as required by Section 319.203 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Following the public hearings, the Butler County Auditor and Butler County Engineer may consider adoption of the proposed modifications.
