UPDATE SEPTEMBER 14, 2023: THE PROJECT IS COMPLETE, AND THE ROAD IS OPEN.
The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Harris Road will close 1.65 miles east of Oxford Milford Road and 200 feet west of S.R. 177 for a superstructure replacement over Darrs Run beginning Monday, July 17, 2023. Performed by Brumbaugh Construction, construction will last approximately 50 days, weather permitting. Access to properties within the construction zone will be maintained; however, the road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen by September 8, 2023.
Detour: Eastbound Harris Road traffic will detour south on Oxford Milford Road, east on S.R. 73, and north on S.R. 177. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
