UPDATE MAY 16, 2025: THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED, AND THE ROAD IS OPEN.
The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Layhigh Road will close 0.8 miles north of Spyglass Ridge and 0.6 miles south of Kirchling Road for a culvert replacement beginning Tuesday, May 13, 2025. The road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen on May 15, 2025.
Detour: Northwestbound Layhigh Road traffic will detour west on Hamilton New London Road, north on Morgan Ross Road, northeast on S.R. 748, and east on Kirchling Road. Southeastbound traffic will reverse this route.
