Millikin Road @ Lesourdsville West Chester Road Roundabout Construction starts May 27th

Road Closures

May 13, 2025

Liberty Township

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Millikin Road and the north leg of Lesourdsville West Chester Road will close at the intersection for a roundabout installation beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The roads will be closed to all through traffic; however, local traffic will still have access up to the construction zone. Access to the Millikin Road crosswalk and the Whispering Brook Court to Millikin Road multi-use path will be temporarily restricted for safety reasons during construction.

This $1.36 million roundabout project, awarded to W.G. Stang, LLC, was funded federally by the County Engineers Association of Ohio (CEAO) and locally by the BCEO and Butler County Water & Sewer. It will include lighting at the roundabout, a safer pedestrian crossing, and a closed storm sewer system within the project limits. The new roundabout is expected to open on August 8th before students return to school.

Millikin Road Detour: Eastbound Millikin Road traffic will detour south on S.R. 747, east on Princeton Road, and north on Lesourdsville West Chester Road (south leg). Westbound traffic will reverse this route.

Lesourdsville West Chester Road (north leg) Detour: Northbound Lesourdsville West Chester Road traffic will detour east on Millikin Road, north on Mauds Hughes Road, and west on Kyles Station Road. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

Motorists are encouraged to check here and the PROJECTS MAP, as well as Facebook and X @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
