The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Morman Road will close 0.4 miles north of S.R. 129 and 0.2 miles south of Minton Road for a drainage improvement project beginning Monday, May 18, 2026. While local traffic will be maintained, the road will be closed to all through traffic, and is expected to reopen June 12, 2026, weather permitting.
The project will involve replacing the existing frontage pipe and, in some areas, installing new pipe for a more effective storm sewer system along approximately 655 linear feet of Morman Road. The construction zone begins around 460 Morman Road, adjacent to the first phase of improvements constructed in 2024 and ends near 388 Morman Road.
Detour: Northbound Morman Road traffic will detour northeast on S.R. 129, north on Boyle Road, and west on Minton Road. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
Motorists are encouraged to check here and the PROJECTS MAP, as well as Facebook and X @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
