The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Kehr Road will close at the bridge approximately 250 feet north of Silverleaf Drive and 0.3 miles south of West Chestnut St for a bridge deck rigid overlay project beginning Monday, August 3, 2026. Improvements to the bridge over Collins Creek will be performed by Complete General Construction Company of Columbus, Ohio. This bridge project, funded by the BCEO, is the final of three rigid overlays scheduled for 2026 under a $2.2 million contract.
While Kehr Road will be closed to all through traffic, local traffic will be maintained up to the construction zone on either side. The road is scheduled to reopen by early October, weather permitting.
Detour: Northbound Kehr Road traffic will detour northwest on Stillwell Beckett Road, north on S.R. 732, and east on West Chestnut Street. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
Motorists are encouraged to check here and the PROJECTS MAP, as well as Facebook and X @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.
