Road Closures

July 27, 2026

Fairfield Township / Liberty Township

The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports the 10-day closure of Liberty Fairfield Road at the bridge located 0.2 miles south of S.R. 4, between Shafor Drive and Randall Drive, beginning Friday evening, August 7, 2026. Construction for a bridge replacement project began on July 6th with lane restrictions using flaggers to control traffic in the work zone; however, after this full closure, no lane restrictions are planned for the duration of construction.

The contractor will close Liberty Fairfield Road at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7th, and reopen it by 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17th. (Entrance to strip mall businesses accessible from the south.)

Motorists are encouraged to check here and the PROJECTS MAP, as well as Facebook and X @bceonews, for possible date and status changes concerning this and other closures/advisories.

Detour: Northbound Liberty Fairfield Road traffic will detour west on Millikin Road and northeast on S.R. 4. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
