The Butler County Engineer’s Office reports that Yankee Road will close just north of Hornet Drive on Monday, October 19, 2026, for the construction of a left-turn lane into the new Monroe High School driveway. The project will also include the addition and modification of storm sewer, pavement markings, and signage.

The school driveway will only be accessed from the south on S.R. 63. Yankee Road will be closed to all through traffic and is expected to reopen on November 20, 2026, weather permitting.

Detour: Southbound Yankee Road traffic will detour west on Todhunter Road, south on Salzman Road, and east on S.R. 63. Northbound traffic will reverse this route.
